Compact yet feature-filled, the Elqui 18L Backpack makes getting out on the trail easy. A large stretch stuff pocket on the front of the pack makes it easy to stash a jacket (or sandals), while the EVA foam, mesh back panel, and removable waist belt provide all-day comfort and breathability. Measuring Tips

Use a flexible tape measure, and if possible, have someone help you take measurements.

Wear something light and close-fitting—like leggings and a t-shirt—so your clothes don’t add to the measurements. Don’t wear anything thick or heavy, like jeans or a jacket.

Stand up straight with your feet shoulder-width apart.

Chest

With the tape measure parallel to the floor, measure the circumference around the fullest part of your chest.

Waist

With the tape measure parallel to the floor, measure the full circumference of your natural waist (at the crease when you bend to one side).

Hips

With the tape measure parallel to the ground, measure the circumference of the fullest part of your hips (usually around the top of your thighs, where they connect to your torso).

Sleeves

Starting at the base of your neck, measure along your shoulder, then down to the wrist. Your elbow should be slightly bent.

Inseam

Holding the tape measure vertically, measure straight down from your crotch to the floor. Take this measurement without shoes on.

Great day pack!

"I like this pack! We’ve taken it on a couple of short hikes now and it works great for what we use it for. The inside is spacious enough to hold a 2 person hammock, blanket, snacks and phone & keys (in the small inner pocket). The side pocket straps kept the water bottle secure- it never fell out. For reference, I’m only 5’3” to show how it fits on me. I wasn’t sure if it would feel too long, but it’s a good length and overall size."

"Perfect for day hikes and feels comfortable carrying for 10+ hours. However, the lining got a little tacky after first use, so will follow up to try and figure that out, but strong warranties mean I'm not too worried about it!"

Love the brand, but wish it had better colors

"I love Cotopaxi. I wanted this backpack, and when I watched the video, I adored the grain color because it would match my Cotopaxi fanny pack perfectly! But it isn’t an option anymore! I love blues, and there was no other blue option. I settled for the orange, but it doesn’t match my fanny pack, or my little square bag. I like having matching sets. Or at least don’t advertise a color you don’t have! I love Cotopaxi and will continue to buy their products, but I was a little disappointed in my experience today. I hope this didn’t come off as picky, I just really all your bags that are blue with orange highlights."

Perfect Day Pack For Town and Trail

"I've really enjoyed this small pack so far. It's nice having more of a structured bag (I was previously using the Batac 16L for day hikes) and the fabric on the back makes it very breathable. Having the quick access front pouch came in handy much more than I expected. Perfect for quickly throwing my phone in and out. There's pockets on the straps that were great for smaller sunscreens and chapstick. It's a great pack to go from the trail to the town. Very happy to have picked this up on a whim while visiting SLC!"

Good for a quick run out, not for daily city

"Bought this backpack to shift away from an REI one I used daily for over 5 years. Bought it back in June 2025, and it didn’t hold up well to daily Seattle use. Frayed strings popped up, all of the lettering peeled off, back part stained and didn’t come out with hand washing. Had to retie the knots a few times cuz they came undone at random. Will still use it but already looking for a new daily one."
