Allpa 28
"I’ve traveled for years with a 25L backpack and was worried the Allpa 28L would feel too big. It doesn’t. The extra space is surprisingly useful while still feeling comfortable and carry-on friendly. I regularly pack a laptop, charger, mouse, keyboard, clothes for a long weekend, and other travel essentials, and everything fits with room to spare. The clamshell design makes packing easy, the organization is excellent, and the build quality feels solid. For me, it’s the perfect balance between capacity, comfort, and versatility for both work and travel."

Nice color and great quality
"The Cotopaxi Allpa 28L Travel Pack has quickly become one of my favorite carry-on backpacks for short trips and minimalist travel. It strikes a really impressive balance between organization, comfort, durability, and style. What immediately stands out is the suitcase-style clamshell opening. Instead of digging through one giant compartment, the bag opens flat and gives you multiple zippered sections that make packing incredibly organized. I found it especially useful for separating clothes, tech, toiletries, and smaller essentials without needing extra packing cubes. At 28L, the size feels ideal for weekend trips, city travel, or even one-bag international travel if you pack efficiently. It fits surprisingly well under many airplane seats when not overpacked, though fully loaded it works better in the overhead bin. The dimensions are also carry-on friendly, which makes airport travel much easier."

Alpa 28L
"I LOVE my new backpack! I am used to using a traditional student type backpack and was a little nervous about converting to this style however, on my recent trip to Costa Rica, it was just wonderful! I love the durable exterior. I love all the pockets. It was just a great purchase and I plan to buy more Cotopaxi products in the future. For sure."

Japan travel bag
"Purchased this bag for my husband before our honeymoon in Japan, since I knew we would be taking the bullet train extensively. The Allpa 28L made it easy to un-pack and re-pack as we stayed around Central Japan from Tokyo to Kyoto and back. Looking forward to more international trips!"

Disappointed a bit
"Honestly I thought I was going to really like the design and have the large zipper that unfolds completely but it really just became a very odd thing to handle. Wish the shoulder straps or waist band had little areas to put things for easy access. I used to will likely just go back traveling the airport with an osprey day pack. Hard to fit the iPad in the sleeve."

Really sturdy!
"This pack is all I needed for carryon travel. i was able to fit a water bottle on the side. I only wish there were a few places I could attach items like my pillow… I found one but a couple would be nice. The luggage pass through was tight."

Game-changer for organized travel
"I am incredibly impressed with this pack. The 28L size is perfect for short trips or as a dedicated carry-on. What really sets it apart is the internal organization—the mesh dividers make it so easy to pack and find everything instantly. The build quality is top-notch, the zippers are tough, and it’s very comfortable to wear. If you’re on the fence about the size or the price, just get it. It’s worth every penny."

Allow 28
"Love this bag. It is definitely great for a 2-3 weekend where you want to travel light and use the bag as a personal item to avoid ridiculous bag fees. Great companion piece for a carry on on a longer trip."

Great bag, great design!
"4/5 stars The Cotopaxi Allpa is an excellent travel bag overall. The organization is thoughtfully designed, the materials feel durable, and it’s very comfortable to carry even when fully packed. I especially like how easy it is to pack for short trips without needing extra organizers. The only reason I’m giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is one small but annoying design issue: the little metal/plastic hoops attached to the inside zipper chains tend to interfere with the main compartment zipper while opening and closing the bag. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it does get frustrating during frequent access. Other than that, it’s a fantastic travel backpack and I’d still highly recommend it."

Sturdy bag, still working out the kinks
"This is overall a solid bag, sturdy and I like the various pockets. It holds a little less than I expected. I bought it with the intention of using it as a personal item for travel (although it's on the larger side, the 20 would probably be better. ) The interior structure of the bag is not the best as a personal item, since you have to open the whole thing in order to access certain pockets (I'm learning that I have to pack strategically the items I want to access easily during a flight at the top of the bag otherwise I have no hope of getting to them). However, I know many people who love the larger versions of this bag as a carry on. My one other piece of feedback would be I wish the luggage pass-through strap was horizontal, allowing the bag to rest vertically on the suitcase (or having a way to have both options. ) It rests awkwardly on my rolling suitcase now because the water bottle sleeve ends up on the bottom, creating lack of balance, and the backpack straps hang awkwardly, as well."
